SALEM – State Representative Vicki Berger (R-Salem) was released from Salem
Hospital yesterday after having hip resurfacing surgery on Monday, April 7th.
The surgery was completed without incident or complications.

“The quality of care that I received while in the hospital was exceptional,” said Rep.
Berger. “I am grateful for the team of doctors and nurses that performed the surgery and will assist in my recovery.”

Rep. Berger will rest at home for the next month. Following a rehabilitation routine,
Rep. Berger will return to her active lifestyle by July. “For someone who is used to
chasing a racquetball around a court, being confined to crutches is frustrating,” said Rep. Berger. “Plus my grandkids are used to a grandmother who can keep up with them.”
